Description

A much loved family market and coming to the market for the first time in over thirty years, Suilven is an attractive and spacious detached house with stunning views over the Aldeburgh rooftops, the River Alde and towards the sea.

The house is set back from a quiet and private road in a sought-after, elevated part of Aldeburgh.

The accommodation is presently arranged into a principal five-bedroom house with an attached annexe.

The bespoke wooden and partially glazed front door opens into a spacious porch, which leads to the principal house and annexe.

The open-plan kitchen/dining/ sitting room is a wonderfully bright room, with windows on four elevations including French windows and bi-folding doors to the south and west, leading to the terrace; perfect for al fresco dining and entertaining.

Completing the ground floor of the principal house is a well-proportioned study, which could also be used as a double bedroom, and a shower room.

The first floor consist of five bedrooms and the family bathroom. The double-aspect principal bedroom is a particularly special room, with a partially glazed door leading to a balcony.

On the second floor, the lookout room and roof terrace have outstanding views over the stunning roofscape, the River Alde as it winds downriver toward Orford, and the sea.

The annexe comprises an open-plan kitchen/dining/sitting room and a cloakroom on the ground floor, with a double bedroom and bathroom on the first floor.

Suilven has generous south and west facing terraces, ideal for al fresco dining and entertaining; off the kitchen/dining/sitting room is a glazed veranda and to the rear of the house is a kitchen garden.

Location

Suilven occupies a sought-after, elevated position in the popular coastal town of Aldeburgh, within the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
