Vendor Insight:

Occupying a coveted location in the pretty coastal town of Tenby is this gorgeous three-bedroom, second floor apartment, which boasts magnificent sea views. “I’ve been holidaying in Tenby for thirty-plus years now; I loved it as a child and I’ve loved being able to bring my own children here,” says the owner. “It’s such a beautiful and vibrant place, particularly during the summer months. There’s lots of things to see and do, places to visit, and the town itself is becoming a bit of a mecca for foodies, with a number of lovely gastro pubs and restaurants that serve amazing food, and an array of shops that sell fresh, local produce. Another huge pull for locals and visitors alike is obviously the fact it boasts four sandy beaches – North, South, Harbour and Castle – but if you head out to the east of the town there’s nothing but mile upon mile of rolling countryside. It’s totally idyllic; what more could you want?”

“We love the town so much that a couple of years ago we decided to buy a holiday home here, and we were lucky enough to find this gorgeous apartment in Richmond House. It sits in a highly sought-after location overlooking North Beach so from it we’re afforded the most spectacular sea views, and we’re quite literally just a stone’s throw from the beach and indeed the town centre.”

“The apartment, which is a really good size, forms part of an elegant Georgian townhouse, so it’s very characterful and the rooms all boast high ceilings and big sash windows that not only bring in those views, but also tons of light. The interior was all a bit beige when we bought it, so over time we’ve updated the décor and we’ve also reconfigured the back bedrooms to really maximise the space. It’s a lovely apartment and we’ve really enjoyed holidaying here, but we can’t be here all the time so it’s also been a fantastic holiday let, which has been hugely successful. I’d say that in the time we’ve owned the property we’ve been able to increase the revenue by around 30%!”

“The large open-plan kitchen, dining and living space is definitely my favourite. It’s bright and spacious, and we can sit in there and enjoy a really spectacular sea view.”

“Tenby is a beautiful place, summer or winter. In the summertime we’ll go swimming or for long walks along the beach; there’s water sports equipment to hire, boat trips, and there are events to watch such as Ironman Wales and the Long Course Weekend, both of which take place on North Beach. In the winter things get a little quieter, which is nice, but it’s still lovely place for walking or cosy pub lunches.”

“Richmond house also boasts a little communal front garden, which has direct access to the beach, and also a back garden, which again is shared. We’ll often have BBQs out front, sometimes with our neighbours; it’s a lovely place to sit out on a warm summer’s evening with a cold glass of wine while watching the sun go down.”

“We love Tenby so much that we’ve decided to move here permanently, so we’re now looking for a large family home,” says the owner. “We’ll be sad to sell the apartment, thought. It has to be in one of the best locations in town!”
