Built in1860 Floyer Hall was used as the village school until 1893 from whence it was used for several purposes one of them being the Sunday evening services and Sunday school which continued to be held there until 1948. In 1948 Mrs. M. C. Benthall gave it to the parish, and it was named the Floyer Hall after her husband. Floyer Hall was then used as a village hall by the parish for many years until the property was professionally converted into a residential dwelling in the 2000's and has been well maintained since then.
There are many beautiful country walks to be had in the area. The World Heritage Site and Conservation area of Ironbridge Gorge is just approximately a 15 minute walk away where many local amenities can be found such as a chemists, butchers, post office and many bars and eateries. The high street of Broseley is about of equal distance offering more local amenities and convenience. Floyer Hall is also in the catchment area for the William Brooks School.
The property is approached via a substantial gated drive which leads to the main property entrance and outbuildings.
On entering through the front door there is a large porch with a door leading from one side into a utility area and then the family bathroom.
Through from the porch you are greeted by the spectacular main living area which is an impressive open plan space with high ceilings and heated by a gorgeous log burner. From this living space the kitchen access which is in keeping with the period and has space for a range cooker and a door leading out to the rear garden.
From the main living space a door leads into the inner hallway which has a door to the rear garden and gives access to two double bedrooms both enjoying beautiful elevated countryside views. The bigger of the two rooms has an en-suite shower room. On this level there is also a separate w/c. A set of stairs then lead up to two further double bedrooms and a large storage/wardrobe area off the landing.
One of the many lovely features of the property is the bespoke arched windows throughout the property.
The property has been improved outside by the current owners. There are some brick built outbuildings, the bigger of which has been insulated and benefits from under floor heating. Currently used as a music room but would make a great office or with some amendments an Airbnb. A substantial cabin has been added at the head of the drive which has power and under floor heating. This is currently used as an office or could potentially be an Airbnb.
The rear garden is an enclosed space with decked seating area and the remainder mainly laid to lawn.

OnTheMarket may have applied supplementary data to this property listing, including:
Broadband availability and predicted speed: obtained from Ofcom on April 18, 2023
Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on April 18, 2023
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on March 7, 2015 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.
