Having been transformed from a project into what you see today, this cottage has been beautifully restored and incredibly tastefully finished to really play on its natural character and charm.
For a two bedroom and two bathroom cottage of this size, to enjoy the benefit of off-road parking is quite hard to find indeed.
The entrance of the gravel drive is shared with the neighbour - for access to their parking spot - but Street Farm Cottage can comfortably fit two cars on its part. Beyond this is an utterly gorgeous garden.
The garden has a pretty little pond, a couple of sheds for a great use of additional storage and a setting which will help you enjoy your own private haven.
This property is just perfect as a bolt-hole in the countryside, or certainly to run it as an income generator, but it could easily be truly loved as a main home, especially with additions to the ground floor.
It is very hard to find a countryside cottage such as this, which not only boasts privacy but also off-road parking - and all within only 10minutes drive from Holt. This lovely home is one which very much needs to be visited to really capture its magic...
BACONSTHORPE The village of Baconsthorpe is surrounded by unspoilt countryside, situated approximately four miles east of Holt and a short distance from the North Norfolk Coast. It is one of the few places in the county where a census before 1841 containing names survives. It is here that the ruins of Baconsthorpe Castle can be found, which date back to the early 15th century.
Holt is one of the most attractive small towns in Norfolk with the main street lined with colour-washed Georgian buildings, many of architectural importance. There are tea and coffee shops, lots of antique and curio shops, food shops and delicatessens, banks, independent shops and, of course, historic Gresham's School founded in 1555. The cathedral city of Norwich is just twenty-six miles distant. From Norwich there are direct trains to London Liverpool Street and Norwich Airport is a convenient worldwide gateway via Schiphol Airport.
SERVICES CONNECTED Mains water, electricity and drainage. Oil fired central heating.

OnTheMarket may have applied supplementary data to this property listing, including:
Broadband availability and predicted speed: obtained from Ofcom on June 28, 2022
Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on June 28, 2022
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on November 22, 2022 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.
