Situation
Craiglands is a detached house which is located within a pleasant, mature and convenient part of Dalry in North Ayrshire.

Dalry has a good range of local shops and services that adequately cater for every day needs and requirements.

The nearby, almost equidistant, North Ayrshire towns of Beith and Kilwinning combine to provide a further extensive range of local amenities including education, retail, entertainment and transport links.

The A737 (recently improved with the Dalry bypass) provides good access to the M8 motorway corridor and Glasgow city. As well as to the ever-developing Ayrshire coastline. There is a main line railway station in Dalry (0.9 miles from Craiglands), with a frequent service to Glasgow city every thirty minutes and the Ayrshire coast. The international airports of Prestwick and Glasgow are also almost equidistant at approximately 20 miles.

Glasgow city (25.7 miles) provides an excellent range of professional services, higher education, cultural and retail facilities normally associated with a major city centre.

Tourism is a thriving industry in Ayrshire. The main town of Ayr has its own racecourse and is arguably Scotland’s golfing Mecca with the home of the Open Championship at Prestwick and present day Open Championship links at Turnberry and Royal Troon. Alloway is the birthplace of Robert Burns and his legacy continues to draw people to the area.

For the field sportsman/woman the rivers of Ayrshire offer salmon fishing by permit. The Garnock water, which runs through Dalry, has a back end run of salmon. The district also offers some commercially run and challenging low ground driven pheasant shooting and with permission, some of the local estates and land owners allow the chance to stalk roe deer.

Sea fishing sport is available on the Ayrshire coastline.

There are marina, yachting and chandlery services at Troon, Largs and Ardrossan and the lower reaches of the River Clyde, together with the Ayrshire islands, offer some of the most scenically attractive coastal sailing in the United Kingdom
Travel Directions
From Glasgow, proceed west on the M8 motorway. After 9 miles take junction 29 (A737) following signs for Irvine. Continue on the A737 for 16.2 miles. Turn right at the roundabout and continue towards Darly town centre for 0.8 miles. Turn left onto Roche Way (B780) and continue for 0.2 miles before turning left onto Sharon St (B780), continue on the B780 which then becomes West Kilbride Road for 0.5 miles to find Craiglands on the left hand side.

Places of interest

The business model of Estate Agency and Lettings distribution has changed, no longer do people pour over local papers searching for their dream home; no longer do they need to look in estate agents' windows or queue to discuss search criteria with estate agency or lettings receptionists. In recognising this, we have changed too, we have evolved to develop an efficient business model which pro-actively distributes property globally via our well managed database and digitally via the world wide web. Good systems are important to us, however, Estate & Lettings Agency is a people business, our people have been carefully selected for their scope of property and customer interfacing expertise. We recruit intelligent, clear thinking and articulate property professionals. The team has an average of 20 years’ experience in the industry and we are proud to have been behind some of the most high profile and often complex sales and property asset management deals in the West of Scotland. At Robb Residential we can’t say we are the largest firm, we’re not. At Robb Residential, we can’t say we are the smallest firm; we’re not. Our point of difference lies in our people and in the delivery of service excellence. The Robb Residential team owns and shares in its commitment to delivering that service excellence, and so what we can say with a measure of assured confidence is that we will be the best.

Broadband availability and predicted speed: obtained from Ofcom on April 29, 2022

Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:

    Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
    Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
    Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s

The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2

Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on April 29, 2022

Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:

Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services

Energy Performance data and Internal floor area

Any supplementary data should not be relied upon as forming part of any property particulars and OnTheMarket cannot be held responsible for any incorrectness in this data. See here for more information.
