Denstone College is about 4 miles away and is a well renowned independent boarding and day school. Further schools in the area include Thomas Alleyne's High School Uttoxeter.

There are many opportunities to enjoy walking routes, bridleways and cycle routes from Crakemarsh with the ability to walk or cycle to Waitrose which is about 2.5 miles away.
