3 bedroom terraced house
Key information
Property description & features
"We first saw this property over 10 years ago and although at the time, it required full refurbishment and updating both inside and out, we immediately knew that this was the house for us.
The bright spacious rooms, high ceilings, incredible views across London and abundance of green spaces locally, were all the things we were looking for – and having completely renovated the house, it really has been a lovely home for us.
We love the period features that we’ve unearthed, restored and introduced into the property. We’ve brought everything up to modern standards while enhancing the original character and charm of the house. Our favourite rooms are the dual aspect living rooms at the front of the house with views across London from our bay windows that flood the room with natural light; and the large window to the south with views of our garden, and the tall oak, ash and elder trees of Shrewsbury Park beyond.
Shrewsbury Park is a local hidden gem, and we are so lucky to have it on our doorstep with its mix of woodland and heaths. It’s maintained by a local group of volunteers and our daughter loves to go exploring. We love the fact that it dominates the views from every room in our house. It’s great that uniquely, there are no houses to the front and rear of us meaning you have a lovely open and green aspect whichever direction you look. Locally, there is also Eaglesfield Park with its playground and duckpond and Oxleas Woods.
We work in the City and Docklands, so the opening of the Elizabeth Line (which has resulted in both locations being just two or three stops away) has been a godsend. The existing DLR and the overground services are great alternatives – so there are so many commuting options.
We are lucky to be situated so close to the wonderful Plumcroft School, which prides itself on being a green school – encouraging the children to look after their environment. With a passionate and energetic headmaster, there is a strong sense of local community amongst us parents and our children, and we take pride in supporting the school and local area.
There is the Plum Lane community orchard conveniently located on the corner of our road (two doors from us) – with breathtaking views of the river and beyond. Plumcroft pupils and parents are encouraged to get involved in its maintenance and our daughter enjoys planting saplings there."

Broadband availability and predicted speed: obtained from Ofcom on May 12, 2022
Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on May 12, 2022
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on May 10, 2011 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.
