Property description & features

  • Tenure: Freehold
A beautifully presented 4-bedroom home overlooking fields, tucked away within this popular village in grounds of 0.28-acre.

Situated in an enviable location tucked away in a private setting within this well-regarded village, The Burrow is a beautifully presented bungalow, being just one of four high-quality homes built in the late-1980s.

The property has been subject to many improvements in recent years, offering well-presented and proportioned accommodation whilst benefitting from a high degree of natural light throughout.

Extending to around 1,750ft2, the property comprises a glazed entrance porch leading to a large L-shaped hallway with storage cupboards and study with views across fields. The sitting room enjoys a double aspect, with wood-burning stove and new bi-fold doors leading out to a large terrace.

The kitchen/breakfast room is fitted with a stylish range of matching shaker-style base and eye level units with integrated double oven and electric hob with extractor, tiled floors and French doors from the breakfast area to the garden. The utility room is fitted with further storage, cloakroom and door to the double garage.

The ’west wing’ offers a good arrangement of bedrooms, with the principal bedroom enjoying a double aspect, two fitted double wardrobes and fully tiled modern en suite shower room.

There are three further bedrooms, served by a fully tiled modern family bathroom, with separate shower cubicle, panelled bath and vanity wash basin.

Outside
The property is approached over a tarmac driveway with parking/turning area which leads to the double garage. There is a lawned front garden with specimen conifers and shrubs, laurel hedging on the east side with farmland beyond and evergreen hedging to the southern side. There are gates to the rear garden from both sides and outside lighting.

The double garage measures 18' x 17'10" (5.49m x 5.44m) with canti-lever electric door, with two further doors leading to the utility room and to the rear garden. There is a large loft area, perfect for storage, with loft ladder.

The garden to the rear of the property enjoys a high degree of privacy and sunshine, being easily maintained, laid mainly to lawn with evergreen hedging on two sides. There are paved pathways along the rear and side of the property, oil storage tank, gable roof greenhouse, large workshop and vegetable garden. Of note is the attractive sunken garden with patio area and delightful summerhouse, along with further stocked beds and fencing to the eastern boundary, which is joined by the second expanse of lawn.

Services
Mains water, drainage and electricity. Oil-fired heating.

Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:

Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
