Originally built as a cottages believed to date back about 300 years, it has since been converted into a single house. Lower Baybridge House is an attractive family house, constructed of brick and flint elevations under a tile roof, and has spacious accommodation arranged over two floors. There is a wealth of period features throughout the property including exposed beams and brick fireplaces. The current owners have recently replaced all windows in the property. One end of the house could be used as a separate independent annexe, as it has its own access. It is currently arranged as two bedroom suites. There is an excellent studio with a log burner, power and water, and is used as an artist studio.

The gardens are certainly a feature of the property and have designed and planted by the current owners over a number of years. There is a more formal area near the swimming pool but more informal beyond with paths mown through the long grass. Between the house and studio is paved terrace and vegetable garden, and beyond is the chickens house and pen. There are also some fine mature trees.

Lower Baybridge House is located on a rural lane near the village Owslebury. This is a popular village in the South Downs National Park surrounded by glorious open countryside. It is easily accessible to the villages of the South Downs, Itchen and Meon Valleys with their charming pubs. It is within a short distance of Winchester, has a wonderful community, a Primary School and pub. The village of Upham with its good pub The Brushmaker's is also near. Bishop's Waltham is nearby and provides local shopping facilities. Owslebury Primary School and The Westgate Secondary School are the catchment area schools. There are also a good range of private schools in the area including Winchester College, St Swithun's, Twyford, Princes Mead and The Pilgrims' School. There is also Peter Symonds Sixth Form College in Winchester and near Petersfield is Bedales, Dunhurst and Dunannie. There are numerous footpaths in the area great for dog walking and cycling.
