This refurbished detached family home is located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac and the frontage includes parking for eight vehicles. This leads to the large detached brick built garage that has planning permission to be converted to an annex incorporating a living room, kitchen/diner, bedroom and shower room. There is a contemporary front porch with storage cupboards leading to the hall that includes a cloakroom and the staircase with its fascinating wrought iron bannister.

The large L-shaped lounge has a brick fireplace with a log effect gas fire and a study area. This has a picture window into the dual aspect dining room which has two sets of patio doors to the swimming pool complex and is semi open plan to the modern kitchen which has Cashmere coloured units housing a variety of appliances and a central island with an inset granite worktop. There is a door to the garden and access to the fitted utility room with laundry facilities.

Off the galleried landing on the first floor is a contemporary family bathroom and three double bedrooms that all have direct access to the superb terrace with its glass and stainless steel balustrade. Two of the bedrooms include built in cupboards while the main bedroom also has a modern en suite shower room and a dressing area.

The Jacuzzi style swimming pool is surrounded by paving and windows on three sides and is heated by an independent boiler that also provides air conditioning for the pool room. There is a shower and patio doors to the terrace and garden that includes a pergola with a decked terrace and a large lawn with shrub borders and a workshop/shed.

What the Owner says:
We bought this house about five years ago as we thought the location was ideal and the family love the swimming pool. However, the property needed a little ‘TLC' so we have spent our time here updating and refurbishing our home and have been delighted with the results but we feel it is now time for us to downsize and let another family enjoy everything we have done to create this charming contemporary property.

Being at the end of a small cul-de-sac it is quiet and peaceful as well as being safe for children and pets. At the same time, it is only a short walk to the local school, the centre of Ryde, the seafront, the catamaran and hovercraft ferry as well as the golf course. It is also not far to Fishbourne for access to the car ferry for trips to Portsmouth.

Ryde is a charming town with its quirky mix of Victorian architecture and traditional seaside entertainment. It includes a wide selection of independent shops, a plethora of bars, cafes and restaurants and, unlike some places on the island, it is a hive of activity all year round with a variety of events from the Classic Car Show and the August Bank Holiday scooter show to a selection of concerts. There are a number of great beaches around Ryde but Appley beach is stunning with long stretches of sand bordered by the park that includes Appley Tower and a playground for young children.

Broadband availability and predicted speed: obtained from Ofcom on March 5, 2022

Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:

    Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
    Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
    Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s

The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2

Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on March 5, 2022

Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:

Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services

Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on May 25, 2016 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.

Any supplementary data should not be relied upon as forming part of any property particulars and OnTheMarket cannot be held responsible for any incorrectness in this data. See here for more information.

    *Call rate information

Calls to 0843 numbers will be charged at 4p/min from BT landlines. Calls from other networks may vary, and calls from mobiles and outside the UK will be higher. Calls to local numbers beginning with 01, 02 and 03 numbers will incur standard geographic charges from landlines and mobiles.
