Description

Virginia Cottage is a delightful property in Thames Ditton bursting with character and on the ‘List of Buildings of Architectural and Historical Interest’.

On entry you come into a spacious hallway with useful under stairs study area and two windows which allow plenty of natural light to flow in. The hallway leads to the reception and dining rooms which are open to one another, providing a great feeling of space and are ideal for entertaining. The reception to the front benefits from a charming feature fire place and three windows, two of which offer views of the front garden. The dining area offers plenty of space for a dining table
and chairs whilst both rooms feature character beams across their ceilings. An original door opens to a small corridor with feature brick wall, off which the spacious bathroom can be found which provides a bath, sink, toilet and bidet. Beyond the bathroom is the kitchen/breakfast room, which again enjoys a feature exposed brick wall, high ceilings and a range of traditional oak wooden units and integrated appliances. A double sink by the window allows views out on to the terrace and garden beyond and there is ample space for a dining table and chairs.

On the first floor there are two good sized double bedrooms, both with beautiful windows and character beams overhead.

The picturesque garden is accessed from the kitchen with a door leading directly onto the terrace. From here, steps lead up to the long lawn which is decorated on both sides by attractive mature flower beds. There is a garden shed at the end providing useful storage whilst the property also benefits from a side access. From the front Virginia Cottage is set behind a pretty picket fence and front garden, providing a
wonderful first impression on arrival.

Location

Virginia Cottage is situated in a popular residential road just a few hundred metres from Thames Ditton station which provides regular and direct trains into London Waterloo in around 33 minutes. Surbiton station is also only 2 miles away offering trains to London Waterloo from 17 minutes.

Thames Ditton village centre is about half a mile away and offers an array of independent shops, boutiques and cafes. As well as the local village there is nearby Kingston Upon Thames which provides a more extensive range of shopping, while nearby Esher and Hampton Court offer a wide variety of bars and restaurants.

    Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
    Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
    Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s

The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2

Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:

Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services

Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on October 4, 2022 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.
