Pumpkin Cottage is a charming, stone-built cottage that is thought to be about 250 years old. It is situated off a country lane and backs onto beautiful and unspoilt countryside and has been the much-loved home of the current owners for the past 19 years. Pumpkin Cottage is situated just outside the small village of Horsington which is surrounded by open countryside and in the heart of the Blackmore Vale. The village has a pub (walking distance) and primary school and nearby Templecombe has a GP's surgery and a railway station with regular direct
services to Waterloo. The nearby towns of Wincanton and Sherborne cater for most day-to-day shopping and business needs including dental and veterinary surgeries and a Waitrose supermarket in Sherborne. The local area also offers a wide choice of excellent schools from both the state and independent sectors together with handy transport links close by (see below)
