"I first viewed this property 19 years ago and fell in love with it at first sight.

Le May Avenue is tree lined which was the first big tick for me, as well as having gardens at the front and back which was exactly what I was looking for.

Sitting in my living room, looking out onto my South-facing rear garden is my idea of tranquillity. A perfect way to wind down from a hectic lifestyle, whatever the time of year. Not being overlooked and having no road to the rear only enhances the experience.

The house itself is spacious with plenty of storage and I’ve enjoyed improving it over the time I’ve lived here. I added a drive to the front, an en-suite in the main bedroom and a cloakroom downstairs all of which have created an even better home for me to enjoy. More recently I’ve had a new kitchen fitted (the second in my time here) and the whole house has been redecorated.

Unusually for London, I also have a great relationship with nearby neighbours who welcomed me when I arrived and have remained good friends ever since.

More practically, having Grove Park station less than 5 minutes away means an easy trip into London for work and pleasure. Local buses take you to Bromley or Lewisham for shopping, though there are lots of local shops to pick from too.

As I no longer work I’ve taken the difficult and sad decision to leave Le May Avenue (and London), I plan to relocate to the Southwest to be by the sea.

I only hope that the future owner enjoys living here as much as I have."
