"The small south-west facing garden is an oasis of calm and amazingly quiet given our proximity to the centre of town. It is lovely sitting outside in the evening sun and enjoying a glass of wine and barbeque. There are plenty of lovely parks nearby, including Perret's Park which is ideal for watching the hot air balloons from the annual Bristol Balloon Fiesta fly across the city. The local independent shops, cafes and bars on Wells Road are excellent; we love evening drinks at Southside bar, pizza at Acappella, and the best fish & chips from Farrows. The neighbourhood is very friendly and welcoming, and people look out for each other. We have lived here for 16 years and are moving just a short distance away as we love the location."

Balmain Street is placed to the east of Totterdown and adjacent to the beautiful Arnos Vale Cemetery. This quiet street has the best of both worlds, with a fantastic array of cafes, restaurants and independent shops on Wells Road, as well as the open green spaces of South Bristol.
