Set nicely back from the Playford road, Longacre is a detached residence understood to date from the 1930s. The original property has been significantly extended by the present vendors and today presents light, well-presented, flexible use accommodation, extending to some 3,084 sq ft. A spacious reception hall features wooden flooring and provides access, via double doors, to the two principal reception rooms. The main drawing room in turn has external French doors opening onto the south facing sun trap terrace and swimming pool, whilst the snug sitting room features a wood burning stove. In addition, there is a sizeable study and a snug family room. Set off the fully equipped kitchen is a breakfast room, together with a utility room, pantry and cloakroom.

On the first floor, set off a galleried landing, there is access to an appealing roof veranda, from where there are views over both the gardens and countryside beyond. From the landing there is access to the five bedrooms and family bathroom and there are two en suite shower rooms. The property benefits from an oil-fired central heating system and a modern security system.

OUTSIDE

To the front of the house is an extensive gravelled parking and turning area, fronting onto which is a triple range cart lodge which includes a secure garage. An external staircase leads to a flexible use first floor studio which provides potential for a variety of uses including guest accommodation or at home office.

GARDENS & GROUNDS

A gate through wrought iron fencing leads into the secure garden. The formal gardens immediately to the rear of the house are south facing and sheltered by mature beach and evergreen hedging, whilst the house itself has a beautiful wisteria. A suntrap terrace includes a wooden summer house and overlooks the air source heated swimming pool. This itself is secured with wrought iron fencing and a sheltering laurel hedge. Beyond, the gardens open out to their full width and includes a range of timber stores. There is a variety of mature trees which provide shade and shelter interspersing the areas of lawn. Bordered by a mature hedgerow a post and rail fence divides off the lower meadow garden, which contains a further variety of mature trees. In all the property extends to about 1.85 acres.
