Leadhills is a beautiful conservation village which, with the neighbouring village of Wanlockhead, attracts many visitors throughout the year. Wanlockhead has a ski slope, lead mining museum and annual gold panning competition and café. Leadhills is currently the second highest village in Scotland and boasts its own Primary School, Grocery Store and Hotel. There is also the highest golf course in Scotland (9 holes), fishing and hill walking. Leadhills is ideally situated for access to Junction 13 and 14 of the M74 making it a popular commute for those seeking country living within reasonable access of Glasgow, Edinburgh, Carlisle, Dumfries and the South. There is a post office, store and café in Abington which is only 6 miles from Leadhills.

As well as offering rural bliss, Biggar is a thriving former market town situated a stone’s throw from the Scottish Borders.
