Property description & features

  • Period Home
  • Ideal Location
  • Great Transport Links
  • Vibrant Community
  • Two Bedrooms
  • Loft Room
"Barratt Street and Easton have been an amazing home to raise our first child and grow our family. We primarily bought this house for the ability to expand the loft space, enjoy roaring fires through the winter and have an outside space to grow a selection of plants, fruit bushes and have barbecues in the summer. The wood burner in the living room, although small, gives the living room and kitchen so much heat that we haven't needed the radiator on even on the coldest of January evenings. The simple loft space with Velux window has been an art studio, extra sleeping space for guests and a magical play space for our toddler. The storage space up there behind the quirky doors ensures the rest of our house remained uncluttered.

It's perfectly situated close to great cafes, organic shops, craft breweries and a myriad of yoga studios. St. Mark's Road has great eateries and the famous Bristol Sweet Mart. Stapleton Road train station is five-minute walk from the front door, and the community is so friendly, international and vibrant. Local parks are a great meeting point for young families and the nearby Greenbank pub has an eclectic mix of activities from boardgame night to baby groups. We have loved living here and would recommend it to anyone!"

This house is situated on a quiet residential road in Easton. The area is largely shielded from through-traffic, so has a quiet feel. Residents of this area are extremely complimentary about the neighbourhood and local community. The area benefits from its proximity to Bristol City Centre, two local train stations and the M32, making it very accessible to commuters. However, it is the amenities on the doorstep which have enhanced the popularity of the area. The independent shops and cafés of St Marks Road are a short walk away, with popular venues such as No. 12 Café, The Greenbank Pub, the Public Food Market and Este's Kitchen closer still. Families occupy many of the houses in this area, with many still looking to move to the area due to the recent success of the nearby Whitehall Primary and Bannerman Road Primary Schools.

Placed on the peaceful Barratt Street is this beautifully presented two bedroom home. The home has encapsulated the vibrancy of Easton, having splashes of colour throughout with stunning wooden flooring. The kitchen-living room is truly the hub of this home, coming with a log-burning stove nestled into an exposed brick fireplace, ideal for relaxing and socialising. The kitchen has a solid wood frame housing a Belfast sink and integrated shelving to the left hand side. The first floor has a spacious main bedroom with dark-stained wooden flooring, a second double bedroom, as well as a bathroom with a wooden-panelled bath and dark walls contrasting with the surrounding white tiles. The south-facing garden is a sun trap and offers great light for potted plants and raised beds.

Broadband availability and predicted speed: obtained from Ofcom on December 22, 2021

Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:

    Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
    Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
    Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s

The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2

Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on December 22, 2021

Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:

Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services

Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on April 26, 2021 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.

Any supplementary data should not be relied upon as forming part of any property particulars and OnTheMarket cannot be held responsible for any incorrectness in this data. See here for more information.
