Description

A picturesque 17th century, thatched stone cottage, with an abundance of period features. It sits in a quiet position on the edge of the village and overlooking farmland on all sides.

Flexible accommodation includes a fitted kitchen with shaker style cupboards, integrated appliances and an adjacent dining room, with spectacular inglenook fireplace, housing a Stanley range and original bread oven.

The hallway leads from the front door through to the back door access to the garden, with a boot area and cloakroom/lavatory. The cosy, dual aspect sitting room also has an impressive inglenook fireplace, with a Heta woodburning stove, and leads through to a light, triple-aspect garden room/study (added in 2009), with French doors opening on to the very pretty gardens. A wet room and lavatory complete the ground floor.

On the first floor is the dual-aspect principal bedroom with adjacent family bathroom and a second bedroom with shower room. There are two further bedrooms on the second floor.

The property is approached via a wide gravel driveway, with parking for several cars, to one side of the cottage. The enclosed front garden is laid mainly to lawn, with deep herbaceous borders and yew topiary. The beautiful rear garden boasts a huge variety of plants and an abundance of fruit trees. There is a vegetable garden, herb bed and an artichoke bed. The garden is attractively divided by winding paths, ponds and stone terraces.

Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:

Clear: No bars, no signal predicted

Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services

Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on May 3, 2023 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.
