DESCRIPTION
Amberwood Cottage is a charming period property that the current owner has refurbished in a quirky and individual style using natural materials. The interior very much enjoys a rustic, almost fairy tale feel with hand crafted fittings that ignore modern traditional design. Anyone viewing the cottage will fully appreciate its distinctive features. Allied to the wonderful accommodation is a large garden and exceptional views to the Chiltern Hills.

At the entrance is a brick porch with ornately carved pillars and then a solid wood door into the sitting room. The floor here is wide wooden boards and there is a ceiling beam. The beautiful inglenook fireplace contains a cast iron woodburning stove. The cottage has two staircases and the first is behind a door on the left, this one with Sycamore treads. The dining area and kitchen are open plan, the former having Oak floorboards, downlighting, and the second staircase which is fashioned from a Spruce tree. In the kitchen the sink stand has been carved out of a Spruce trunk and the stainless-steel circular bowl sits in a limestone top. Limestone has also been used to tile parts of the walls, the walls themselves finished with cob and painted. Above a limestone worktop is a floating Cherrywood shelf, and on the other side of the kitchen a radiator cover and further shelving. The owner has created a breakfast bar out of a section of Oak, inserting blue resin into the grain and protected the surface with polyurethane varnish. The kitchen floor is quarry tiles and in the ceiling is a roof lantern. The shower room has a tiled floor, wash basin, wc, and a heated towel rail. The cubicle lined in recycled porcelain and limestone. The water cylinder and heating apparatus are in a cupboard.
Both bedrooms are doubles and the shower room can be accessed from either. The front bedroom has floorboards, a built-in wardrobe, and a bespoke dressing table. The back bedroom also has a built-in wardrobe and a walk in closet giving access to the shower room. There are shutters on the window and the view from the window is stunning. The shower room has a wc and a stone basin atop hand built timber cupboards and a counter.

OUTSIDE
At the front of Amberwood Cottage is a small garden with a terracotta path to the porch.
The plot to the rear is a superb element of Amberwood Cottage, stretching to approximately 150ft in depth and opening out at the end providing a breathtaking outlook that culminates with the Chiltern Hills on the horizon.
There are walkways cut through what is a wild grass and flower area dotted with fruit trees. At the far boundary is a decked seating terrace and prior to that a range of timber buildings.

Studio/Garden Office Boarded floor, mains power, wi-fi, plug in radiator. With the expansive view a fantastic place to relax, work, or create.

Workshop and covered pen or chicken coup. Wood store/shed.
