BEST & FINAL OFFERS REQUIRED BY 12.00 NOON ON FRIDAY 26th MAY. This very fine period 5/6 bedroom terraced house has a surprising amount of space and a very large garden with rear access and parking. There is a wealth of character intact and the property is in need of renovation and updating. Ideal project, development or investment property. NO ONWARD CHAIN.

Why You'll Like It
This spacious and flexible fine village house could be configured a number of ways with five or six bedrooms if wanted and three large reception rooms. It appears that the property may lend itself to being split into a number of dwellings subject to any necessary consent of course and may suit being a house in multiple occupation after undergoing renovation and reconfiguration and of course subject to any necessary permission being gained. The property is an imposing double fronted half slate hung middle terrace character house which has a long history, thought to have started as a mine captain's house but later having been a number of shops etc through the years. The property is now in need of some updating and renovation but appears to have great potential whether you are looking for an investment or a very large home. Scorrier Street has on street parking and there is also a rear access lane to an area of ground where we are told you can park and where there is a small outbuilding. At the front of the property you enter to an entrance vestibule with a lovely coloured stained glass window above the inner door. The inner hall as the stairs and some exposed brickwork there are two large reception rooms at the front to either side on the ground floor and there is a ground floor shower room. A further reception could be used as the dining room and beyond that is a ground floor kitchen with a back stairs going to the rear of the property. The kitchen has a range of base units with plenty of work surface, built-in oven and hob, and sink etc and there is a back door to the rear garden. Up on the first floor the landing has a lovely view through an arched window with coloured glass and the accommodation is extensive with the two front bedrooms having been connected to span the entire width of the property (although it appears they could be separated again). There is a first floor kitchen in one of the bedrooms which you could remove if you required more bedroom space. Outside to the rear, the garden is relatively level and wraps around to the side of the property as well. There is a stone wall at the end of the garden with garden gates to the parking area.

Broadband availability and predicted speed: obtained from Ofcom on May 15, 2023

Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:

    Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
    Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
    Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s

The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2

Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on May 15, 2023

Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:

Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services

Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on February 24, 2009 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.

Any supplementary data should not be relied upon as forming part of any property particulars and OnTheMarket cannot be held responsible for any incorrectness in this data. See here for more information.

Calls to 0843 numbers will be charged at 4p/min from BT landlines. Calls from other networks may vary, and calls from mobiles and outside the UK will be higher. Calls to local numbers beginning with 01, 02 and 03 numbers will incur standard geographic charges from landlines and mobiles.
