 Historical note:

At the outbreak of World War II in 1939 ,Vickers were established at the former Brooklands aerodrome racing circuit site constructing planes and munitions for the war effort. Following varying bombing raids to the factories it was decided to move the manufacture of the munitions into 4 nearby ‘concealed and secret’ wooded areas close by, this being one of those historical sites, it was named Dispersal Depot Site W63. (Riseholme) Six large warehouses were constructed on the site along with a brick-built property used as offices, the remains of the foundations of the warehouses, air raid shelters and the offices are visible on site today.

The lands are currently classified as Green Belt and sold with vacant possession.
