There is a regular bus service through the town, many walking routes and also a direct cycle path into York.
The railway station in Selby offers regular trains to London, Leeds and Manchester and there is easy access to major road networks, including the A1, A64, A63 and the A19.
Selby Abbey and the riverside areas are praised, as is the town centre's increasing array of independent shops and cafes. Selby is well placed for well-regarded schools in the area, both public and private, and the town itself was named as one of the best up and coming places to live by The Times 2022
Take the A19 south out of York and follow signs to Selby. Just after Barlby & Osgodby turn left onto Ousegate and Shipyard Road is on your left.
