A quirky end of terrace Victorian property built in the late 1800s yet since undergone a full refurbishment with a brand-new kitchen.

This arty home with weatherboard and dark painted facade is a striking contrast to the whitewashed bright interior.

Offering almost 900 sq.ft of versatile accommodation arranged over three floors, there is still potential to add value and creatively enhance this period property.

Turner house is moments from the seafront and the trendy high street of Cliftonville. Cafes, bars and antique shops are at an abundance as well as many art galleries including the architectural beauty of the Turner contemporary less than a ten minutes walk from this home.

Steps rise to the front door which opens into a bay fronted open plan living room. Here one will find plenty of room for relaxing and dining. To either side of the chimney breast there are characterful arched alcoves.

Steps descend to the newly fitted kitchen which had an array of pale green units finished with solid oak work tops and metro tiles. The cooker and induction hob are both integrated whilst there is plenty of room for free standing appliances.

To the lower ground floor, one will find a well-appointed bathroom and additional reception/bedroom.

To the first floor, one will find two generously proportioned bedrooms and a WC on the split-level landing.

OUTSIDE:

A courtyard garden can be accessed from the kitchen and is a wonderful addition to the spacious property.

SITUATION:

Cliftonville and Margate have seen a huge regeneration in recent years and has now become a bohemian arty seaside town with its many galleries, antique shops, colourful buildings and array of creative cafes and bars.

The sea front is breath-taking beautiful, with incredible sunsets. The coastal path offers an abundance of cycle and walking routes with the popular Viking way linking you with Broadstairs and Ramsgate.

Margate is home to the striking architectural masterpiece of the Turner contemporary which sits grandly off the seafront at the edge of the bustling harbour arm. It has a old town has a cobbled square where one will find vintage shops, restaurants, Ice cream parlours and live music. Dreamland has reopened as a retro theme park that also holds many festivals and live music events.

Cliftonville is a Victorian seaside resort, located on the Thanet peninsula, in the south eastern corner of Kent. Just fourteen miles from the university city of Canterbury, it is dominated by Victorian architecture with some fine examples of the period, many of which can be found in the town centre, where there are covered pedestrian walkways which are so reminiscent of that bygone era.

The beautiful Westbrook Bay beach is less than three quarters of a mile away, where the sand stretches for over a kilometre. The mainline station at Margate is under a mile away and has high speed rail service to London St Pancras in just over 1 hour 30 minutes. There is a secondary school nearby and numerous infant & junior schools.

The popular seaside town of Margate is only a mile away and is a British seaside icon. Three main factors have been key to Margates renaissance over the past few years. Firstly, in 2011, the Turner Contemporary opened on the seafront the exact spot where Turner himself had lived. The location of the gallery was a coup for the area and brought much-needed attention to Margates better qualities. At the same time, the local council was helping to regenerate the historic Old Town quarter, encouraging independent businesses to open. And finally, in 2015, after a decade of campaigning, Margates famous old theme park, Dreamland, reopened for business.

The vibrant city of Canterbury also offers a wide choice of amenities including a fantastic range of High Street and independent retailers, restaurants, pubs, leisure facilities and the very popular, recently refurbished Marlowe Theatre. It has an excellent selection of both state and independent schools, along with three universities, two mainline railway stations, two hospitals and a very good bus service. There is a regular rail service to London Victoria, Charing Cross and Cannon Street and the high-speed rail link connects with Londons St. Pancras from Canterbury West station in just under one hour.
