273 Bickenhall is a pretty three bedroom semi-detached cottage which is constructed of blue lias. The property is now in need of modernisation throughout. The property in brief comprises an entrance porch which leads through to the sitting room. The kitchen is located at the rear of the property. Also to the ground floor is a further room which could be used as an office, a downstairs bathroom and separate W.C. To the first floor are three double bedrooms. The property benefits from double glazing and is offered to the market with no onward chain.
Bickenhall is a small hamlet lying some 6 miles to the south of the County Town of Taunton near to the larger villages of Hatch Beauchamp and Staple Fitzpaine. It occupies a quiet and attractive location reasonably close to the foot of the Blackdown Hills which are designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is readily accessible from the A358 Taunton to Ilminster road which runs about 1 mile away and provides good links to the north of Taunton, the County Town, including the M5 interchange as well as to Ilminster to the south where the A303 may be joined. Local facilities include primary schooling at Hatch Beauchamp and Thurlbear (Stoke St Mary) with a good local pub at Staple Fitzpaine. Taunton is easily accessed where a wide range of shopping, recreational and scholastic facilities can be found including several noted public schools. Both Exeter and Bristol host international airports.
From Taunton proceed in a southerly direction leaving the town on South Road and having crossed the motorway, turn left as signposted towards Chard. After about 4 miles the village of Staple Fitzpaine will be reached. Turn left at the cross roads immediately after the Greyhound Inn and stay on this road for approximately 2 miles passing Neroche village hall and the property can be found at the bottom of the hill on the sharp left hand corner shown by a Greenslade Taylor Hunt For Sale Sign.

OnTheMarket may have applied supplementary data to this property listing, including:
Broadband availability and predicted speed: obtained from Ofcom on December 23, 2021
Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on December 23, 2021
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on January 29, 2014 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.
Any supplementary data should not be relied upon as forming part of any property particulars and OnTheMarket cannot be held responsible for any incorrectness in this data. See here for more information.
