WHAT THE OWNER SAYS:

"We relocated to the Midlands 9 years ago for work and family as it boasted convenient access to motorways for both north and south travel. We were first attracted to the property by its grandness; a double fronted house with a double garage and the large front and rear garden really grabbed our attention. We initially rented the property for the first 3 years before the owners advised us of their intention to sell, by which time we had enrolled our children into local schools and nursery's and had built up such a good relationship with the neighbours, so we decided to buy it.

Having an idea of how we wanted our house to look and feel, we have spent the last 6 years heavily investing our time, money and love into creating our perfect family home.

Works include oak flooring throughout the ground floor, a large Chesney wood burner in the lounge area creating a perfect room on a cold night, new integrated dishwasher, new modern black sink and taps in the kitchen and a Belfast sink in the newly refurbish utility area boasting a traditional oak work top completing the downstairs.

Upstairs a newly renovated en-suite complete with a large double rainfall shower, toilet and sink fitting, a new master bathroom with an extra deep bath, toilet and sink fittings. New carpets and underlay fitted on the stairs, landing area and all bedrooms on the first floor. The walk-in wardrobe currently in the guest room is fitted with water and waste which is capped below the carpet allowing easy fitting of a shower, sink and toilet should the need arise.

Outside is where the hard work started with full landscaping to both the front and rear of the property. Artificial grass was fitted to the rear to allow easy maintenance of what is a large area, along with a full-sized basketball post. We created a spacious area for outdoor dining complete with an outdoor kitchen area which is perfect for entertaining, and this area catches the sun until sunset!

All windows and external doors have been replaced with double glazed sound reducing windows with a modern grey finished. We also added a porch area for extra security and warmth when entering the house. Bi-fold doors from the lounge to the garden and a bi-fold window in the kitchen were added, which created the wow factor during warm months when entertaining. We also renovated the front area which included levelling and fully resurfacing the previous large uneven grass area, enabling up to 8 cars to be parked, perfect for having multiple guests over. Additional steps to the porch area were also added to create symmetry and access from both sides as well as creating a feature plant/shrub area with sleepers.

The final touches to the house were to secure it, so along with our neighbours, we fitted a fully automatic, app-controlled and remote-controlled wrought iron gate along with full HD CCTV system to the front and rear of the property (controls and screen neatly hidden in the loft area).

All in all, we have spent 9 wonderful years at the property and have transformed it to a great family home, but the time has come for someone else to enjoy the space."
