The neighbourhood is so friendly and those in the street are always looking out for each other and they really helped to lift my spirits by messaging in the group chat when I was at home with two small children during lockdown! Whilst there is no allocated parking, we have always managed to park two cars directly outside with no issues, the neighbours all get to know everyone’s preferred spot and leave space. We have never experienced crime and I have always felt safe, it is such a peaceful and tucked-away location.
We have made improvements to the property e.g. new flooring and decorating throughout. My partner is a keen gardener and has re-landscaped the garden to make the best use of the space. Over the years he has grown a variety of vegetables including broccoli, carrots and pak choi and we have had many family dinners outside.
My favourite space has been the living room which is where I spend most of my time either relaxing, playing with the children or working from home. It is a bright and cosy room with plenty of space. The kitchen is a good size with lots of cupboard space and I have always enjoyed the view out to the garden whilst doing the washing up. Both bedrooms have enough space for a double bed and the master has two built-in wardrobes.
I have always worked in London and have found this location fantastic for commuting, with regular trains running from Waddon within walking distance or East Croydon a short bus ride away. There are plenty of shopping and food options with Croydon, Wallington and Purley Way/Valley Park all nearby. There is a good choice of schools in the area and a few parks a short walk away."
