Dating from about 1860, Westwood is a
detached, period house offering well laid out
accommodation over two floors. The house was
extended in 2010 to provide more flexible living
spaces. Of particular note is the impressive
sitting room with a central fire place and wood
burning stove and views out to the front of the
house, there is also a superb open plan kitchen/
living and dining space, along with a separate
study and a useful utility/boot room.

On the first floor there is a principal bedroom
with an en-suite bathroom. There are three
further bedrooms and a family bathroom.

To the front of the house is a gravel driveway
with parking for several cars, along with an area
laid to lawn. To the side of the house is further
driveway access to a former garage, now used
as an office and workshop. This is fully insulated
and has power.

To the rear of the house is a paved patio beyond
which the gardens have been thoughtfully
landscaped too with mature shrub and
herbaceous borders. Steps lead up to the raised
decked area, with built in seating and space for
a fire pit, here is where there is a further studio
building with a wood burning stove, from which
to enjoy views over the house and the countryside
beyond.

The attractive hamlet of Redenham is located
at the top of the Test Valley, surrounded by
lovely countryside. The neighbouring village of
Appleshaw provides a church, primary school
and a pub. There is excellent walking and riding
on the doorstep.

More comprehensive amenities are readily
available in Andover including a range of
shops, supermarkets and restaurants. Andover
has several good state schools as well as the
very popular private schools Rookwood and
Farleigh. The town also has a mainline railway
station providing fast services to Waterloo (in
just over one hour).

The cathedral cities of Salisbury and Winchester
are both within approximately half an hour's
drive. The A303 is close at hand allowing
convenient access to London and the West
Country via M3/M4.

Broadband availability and predicted speed: obtained from Ofcom on February 2, 2022

Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:

    Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
    Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
    Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s

The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2

Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on February 2, 2022

Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:

Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services

Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on February 23, 2023 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.

Any supplementary data should not be relied upon as forming part of any property particulars and OnTheMarket cannot be held responsible for any incorrectness in this data. See here for more information.
