Broomfield is well known also for Fyne Court, owned by the National Trust and is home to the Somerset Wildlife Trust. Hestercombe house is also nearby and has well laid out gardens, café and restaurant. Durleigh reservoir has sailing opportunities and there is Enmore golf course nearby. The property itself is 2.5 miles away from the village of Kingston St. Mary, which has a primary school, garage and pub. The larger village of North Petherton is 4 miles away and has a range of amenities, convenience stores, pub, primary schools and Inns together with junction 24 of the M5 motorway. Taunton, the county town is 5 miles away and includes a further range of scholastic and shopping facilities as well as easy access to Taunton's train station and M5 motorway interchange.
Directions - Leave Taunton in a northerly direction along Cheddon road and proceed through the village of Rowford and past Hestercombe house on the right-hand side. Continue on Volis hill, following the signs to Broomfield. At the top of the hill, a staggered crossroads will be found, here continue straight over and proceed downhill into the valley. Continue up through to the other side of the valley and Spring Cottage is the second property on the right-hand side.
