Dance The Night Away The original party house! If you and your family regularly hosts guests or have family coming to stay, Standen should most definitely tick the boxes. The hallway is framed by a quite incredible octagonal landing and we are reliably informed that the hallway has been frequented by a casino table and a ukulele band in the past! Put on your favourite glad rags, head up to the balcony and take a picture of everyone having the best time.

Grab your wellies and head in pretty much any direction to satisfy your need for an outdoor pursuit. Jumbles Reservoir is accessible in minutes and is popular with ramblers and dog walkers alike. Why not head over to Turton Tower and discover the charming villages of Chapeltown and Edgworth after a brisk walk around Entwistle Reservoir? If you're in need of a thirst quencher and a bite to eat you'll be spoilt for choice. Egerton Village has a number of traditional pubs, bars and restaurants for you to discover. You could even stroll down to Bromley Cross Village where there's plenty going on with convenience stores, supermarkets, Turton Golf Club, cafes and much more literally on the doorstep.

Ideal For Those That Need To Commute
Although private and secluded, Standen is far from isolated. There are fantastic network links to Blackburn, Preston, Bolton and beyond via the local motorway network. You can be in Manchester on a good run in less than 40 minutes. If you'd rather leave the car at home, hop on a train at Bromley Cross station, which has regular services to most local destinations. The local schools are highly regarded.
