Lawns, plant borders with mature shrubs including a beautiful Contorted Willow tree trained up the fence which puts on a dazzling performance during the summer months.
Locality - Turnditch village is situated in the civil parish in the Amber Valley district of Derbyshire. It is located on a hill around ten miles north of Derby on the A517 road from Belper to Ashbourne. There are two pubs, one at the top of the hill ‘The Tiger Inn’ and at the bottom of the hill in Shottle ‘The Railway Inn’. The village also has Turnditch CE Primary School and the regularly used Crompton Inglefield Village Hall. The village has a thriving community including its very own website with local clubs, walks and an annual show. The village also is located conveniently near to Duffield with its amenities and facilities.
Owner's perspective - 8 Hill Close has been our family home for the past 11 happy years. Hill close is a wonderful little cul-de-sac to live on, it has an amazing community spirit and a true village living vibe.
It is incredibly quiet and peaceful with excellent neighbours who we will miss living next door to. We have loved spending time in the garden. The front garden being south facing and a real sun trap, the ideal place to sit and enjoy a morning coffee. The rear garden enjoys a truly spectacular panoramic view of the Ecclesbourne valley, where you can sit and enjoy watching the steam trains chug by in the distance on the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway. Turnditch has a much sought after traditional village primary school and two excellent country pubs, including The Tiger Inn, famous for its Thursday pie nights, and huge selection of over 100 different delicious pies! The village is surrounded by rolling countryside with many footpaths to walk and places to explore.
We will be very sad to leave Hill Close as we have been so happy here, but we are staying in the village only moving a short distance down the hill.

OnTheMarket may have applied supplementary data to this property listing, including:
Broadband availability and predicted speed: obtained from Ofcom on December 20, 2021
Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on December 23, 2021
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on February 10, 2023 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.
