5 Minish is a traditional two bedroom former croft house which has been extended over the years to include a self contained granny annex.

The original house is built of stone and had a thatched roof when it was built. This has been replaced with a slate roof and a kitchen extension was added to the rear and a bathroom extension to the front. A further self contained two storey granny annex was also added and this has been used as a holiday let in more recent times.

5 Minish is accessed via a croft access track taken from the township road. It is set in an idyllic location right on the loch side with water on three sides.

The property must be viewed to appreciate the location.

Location:

The crofting township of Minish is located just a short drive from Lochmaddy which performs an important role for the islands being the port for the ferry to Uig on the Isle of Skye. Facilities within Loxhmaddy include 2 hotels, a shop and post office, bank and Taigh Chearsabhagh, an art centre/cafe. Primary schooling is available at Paible School, Bayhead. Secondary education is available at Lioncleit in Benbecula where there is also a community swimming pool and library. The airport serving the island is at Balivanich where there are also further facilities including 2 supermarkets, a butchers, primary school, and hospital. There is a local co-op supermarket, veterinary clinic and hotel at Cregorry.

Berneray, where the ferry links the Uists’ to the Isle of Harris, is also just a short drive away.

The Outer Isles are a haven for bird watchers, having a wide variety of both resident and visiting birds, Golden and Sea Eagles as well as a wide variety of other wildlife including otters and seals.

    Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
    Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s

The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2

Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on February 8, 2023

Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:

Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services

Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on January 23, 2023 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.
