Location
Stone Allerton is a quiet village in beautiful countryside and is a very popular residential area. It has an excellent Gastro pub, shop and specialist smokery, a cider shack and a very friendly and active community supporting Allerton Cricket club, the Church and children's clubs. A bus service links to the local schools in Cheddar and Mark.New Tyning has an excellent quiet location on the village outskirts. It stands alongside a quiet lane with very little through traffic.
Description
A drive from a country lane leads to the house which stands comfortably within its grounds enjoying a sunny aspect. The original Georgian house has been extended by incorporating adjacent buildings and there is lots of living space with interconnecting rooms and plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The house retains its period character and has been sympathetically improved to satisfy contemporary requirements. Striking features of the accommodation are the ground floor stone tiles with underfloor heating and the first-floor oak flooring.
*
As with many country properties the most often used entry is not always the obvious front door. At New Tyning the front door has a handsome portico, but most callers enter a secondary door which leads into a large reception hall which has a cloakroom and plenty of space for coats and boots. Immediately off this hall is the kitchen which is the heart of the house and has a large central table and chairs, plenty of units and cupboards and a 4-oven green Aga. In the corner is a door to the back stairs to the first floor.
*
When the front door is used it opens to an elegant hall which has the main staircase (with a swan-neck banister rail). To the left of the hall are two rooms which combined create a 22ft. drawing room with windows at each end and two fireplaces, one having a wood burning stove. Double doors open through into a splendid conservatory with French doors into the garden. On the opposite side of the main hall are 2 further reception rooms being a sitting room and a library which connects through into the dining room and then through to the large reception hall.
First Floor
The main staircase rises to a landing which serves 4 bedrooms and a bathroom. One of the bedrooms is currently used as a study.Stairs from the master bedroom lead to an ensuite shower room and a dressing room with fitted units with mirrored doors. There is a link from this room to another bedroom, accessible from the other landing and staircase.
Outside
Close to the house is a substantial range of outbuildings used as garaging and workshops. The buildings are very useful as such but also lend themselves for use as studios, games room, home office, etc. and are perfect for taking full advantage of the highly productive gardens. The buildings are also ideally suited to development either as additional residential accommodation for private or family use or commercial letting. Change of use will probably require planning consent but note the property is not listed. At the rear of the house is a further stone building. The house stands in delightful gardens which give great privacy. Mainly lawned with mature trees and hedges they include an orchard and a kitchen garden with a polytunnel, fruit cages sheds and greenhouse.

Broadband availability and predicted speed: obtained from Ofcom on July 24, 2022
Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on July 24, 2022
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on July 27, 2022 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.
