Haslington Hall is a mainly timber framed building. Some of its structure dates back to 1480 but it is principally of 1545 with later additions. It was founded by the Vernon family and, in particular, Admiral Sir Francis Vernon who was involved in defeating the Spanish Armada.

This Hall is magical, it is in need of full renovation but offers huge potential to create a stunning family home or multiple dwellings (subject to planning) The hall comes with around nine acres, two ponds, Victorian stable block and staff quarters.

This unique building, in brief comprises of: Ground floor with high ceilings, fabulous entrance door opening to a lobby with flagstone entrance hall, two staircases and a third which could be re-instated, kitchen with a large inglenook fireplace, currently with fitted triple oil- fired Aga, By-kitchen with sinks and fire place, boiler room, wash room with access outside, entrance reception hallway separating the main Hall from the spacious staff quarters, conservatory with gun cupboard, safe room and fireplace, dining room and drawing room each with fireplace, hallway with second large entrance door to front and one to the rear, Armada room with fireplace, a large room reputed to be constructed with timbers from the salvaged ships from the Spanish Armada at a time when Admiral Sir Francis Vernon lived.

The first floor is equally as well proportioned with high ceilings. Bedroom suite 1 with fire place, dual bathrooms and a large dressing room with lobby outside also with fireplace, boudoir/bedroom with fire place, bedroom with en-suite, bedroom with en-suite and fire place, bedroom with bay windows and fire place, Armada bedroom with fire place and large bathroom although this used to be another bedroom.

The second floor is currently fire damaged and offers, a second bedroom suite which at the moment is a large open plan area and further possibility of 4 further bedrooms subject to consent.

The staff quarters offer five rooms that were previously used as a bathroom, kitchen, sitting room and two bedrooms with large storage cupboard and loft.

Externally the gardens are superb with paddocks and lawn with a variety of specimen trees. There is a stable block with tack room and hay store, this has the opportunity to be converted to an annexe subject to consent. Lily Pond has fish stock and a secret garden with cabin, duck pond is the large central lake which gets a nice variety of ducks, herons and other water fowl and has fish, fish pond at the front next to Holmshaw Lane has fish and also water fowl, around nine acres of land, tennis court, World War II concrete bunker and an orchard.

Location

Haslington is a charming village. It lies about two miles from the large town of Crewe and around four miles from Sandbach. The larger historic town of Nantwich is around six miles away.
