Description

This superbly presented semi-detached home is situated on a coveted cul de sac development within this sought-after village just south of Marlow town, in a convenient setting that is close to all the attractions of the larger centre of Marlow, plus the commuting possibilities for London, Reading or Oxford via the A404, M4 and M40.

The house is very well presented internally in a bright, modern style with contemporary touches throughout such as vertical radiators, engineered wood flooring and sliding barn-style doors. The highlight is the extension to the rear, which houses an impressive open plan kitchen, dining room and sitting room overlooking the beautifully landscaped garden.

The total accommodation extends to about 1830 sq ft with well sized rooms throughout and a good amount of flexibility for working from home and entertaining friends and family.

The ground floor comprises an inviting and spacious entrance hall leading to a 23ft living room, the open plan kitchen/dining/sitting room, a study, cloakroom with w.c. and a useful spacious utility room. Stairs lead to the first floor where there is a principal bedroom with en suite shower room, three further double bedrooms and a family bathroom.

The house benefits from a corner position, providing a lovely and very private garden to two sides of the home. There is an attractively tiled courtyard-style space to the front entrance, which provides a welcoming first impression, while the rear garden is an impressive size and lawned with a mixture of mature shrub borders around the paved patio and the boundary. Mature trees provide a degree of privacy, though there is a space left open to take in the views over the surrounding countryside.

The house is well served with off road parking for four vehicles, in addition to a garage with light and power.

Location

Bisham is a highly popular village situated just to the south of Marlow town, on the south bank of the river Thames. The village has a number of amenities including a pub, café, sports centre, primary school and farm shop. It is a popular location for commuters given its proximity to the A404(M) which links the M4 and M40 motorways.

Being a popular location for young families, Marlow offers numerous schooling ranging from prep schools to secondary schools, such as Sir William Borlase’s Grammar School and Great Marlow School.

The High Street in Marlow town offers a superb range of retailers, with an eclectic mix of local independent and national names. There are numerous bars, cafes and restaurants dotted around the town offering destinations for any occasion. The town itself is situated on the banks of the river Thames and the Thames Path follows the river through the town.

Just outside the town, the area opens out to glorious rolling countryside and a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Outdoor pursuits are numerous, as are golf, football, cricket and rugby clubs. There is excellent walking locally at Bisham Woods.

For commuters, Paddington is reached from Maidenhead station with the new Elizabeth Line now operating. Fast trains provide a service to London from 19 minutes, with alternative fast trains also accessible from High Wycombe providing a 25-minute journey into London Marylebone.
