Rooms

LOCATION
Set on a quiet cul-de-sac, in an excellent location for travelling into London (a short ten minute drive to Milton Keynes station), this detached property is walking distance to good schools and within easy reach of shops and supermarkets. The four-bedroom house, on Ayrton Close, had immediate appeal to the current owners, who also liked its’ position for parks, playgrounds and other open areas; all important to a young family. “The location was ideal for us,” one of the owners recalls. “It was, and remains, a very family friendly home in a family friendly area”.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
The property was newly built when the couple first went to look at it back in 2005. As the show home, it was well positioned and had been completed to a high specification, with features such as black granite work surfaces and attractive tiles. “We liked the size of the house and the fact it had large rooms, with high ceilings and simply felt light and spacious throughout,” he continues. “We had two young children and were looking for something we could grow into, and this property ticked all the boxes for us.” Since moving into the property, the couple have maintained it to a high standard, retaining its bright, airy ambience by choosing soft pastel and neutral shades throughout. They recently replaced all the windows and doors with UPVC fittings and had a new boiler installed approximately three years ago. “The house is ready for another family to simply move in, relax and enjoy it.” says the owner.

SPACIOUS LIVING
Set back from the road, the property offers driveway parking for three cars, along with a single garage. The front door, with a porch, is set discreetly to the side and opens into a generously sized reception hall. “This was another feature of the house that really appealed to us. “It is nice to step inside and have that immediate sense of space,” he explains. To the right of the hall is a study, perfect for anyone wishing to work from home. There is also a dedicated dining room, ideal for every-day use or just for those special occasions. Either of these two rooms could have alternative uses, such as a playroom, teenagers’ den or snug, if desired. With the added benefits of a ground-floor cloakroom, the home is perfect for every-day living and hosting visitors.

FAMILY LIFE
To the other side of the hall is the large lounge. This double-aspect space has a window to the front and French windows to the rear that open on to the garden. In addition it offers a real flame gas fire, for cosy nights in. The kitchen / breakfast room, is one of the house’s main ‘wow’ factors. It offers ample storage and food preparation space, along with a separate utility area and plenty of room for a table and chairs, without the area ever feeling cramped. Perfect for informal meals and gatherings, the room is a welcoming port of call for visitors and has certainly proved invaluable for a growing family.

UPSTAIRS
Upstairs, there are four good-sized bedrooms, with both the master bedroom and the guest bedroom benefiting from having en suite shower rooms. All bedrooms are especially spacious with the third and fourth bedrooms, both located at the front of the property, having Juliet balconies. There is access to the partially boarded loft, which offers additional storage space, if needed. The floor is completed by a large family bathroom.
