"We bought this house in 2006, from a family who had it for 60 years, and loved it for many reasons. Its position on a hill at the end of a road makes the house very bright. Sunrises and sunsets shine directly in the windows, and the garden is perfect for growing fruit and vegetables. Telegraph Hill is a wonderful neighbourhood - great schools, pubs and shops within a short walk, community-minded people, and the beautiful local park with commanding views serves as a focal point for the area. It is incredibly well-connected within the transportation network. London Bridge is a 10 minute ride away. Deptford Market and Greenwich Park are walkable.
As for the house itself- we invested with love over 15 years: on purchase we re-wired and re-plumbed the whole house and opened up the ground floor, installed high-spec bathrooms and flooring, reclaimed wood and bespoke stainless steel for the kitchen counters, and installed storage cupboards wherever we could to maximise the space. We covered some walls with mirrors and murals to make the space feel bigger and interesting. We also put a lot of effort into the lighting, so the house was warm and intimate for entertaining as well as functional. Our family had a happy life in that house, and we are certain you will too."
