The village of Holton is situated to the south of Wincanton and is within easy access of the A303. There is a public house, village hall and church within the village and the town of Wincanton is just a short distance away. Wincanton is a small Somerset town lying just North of the A303 and offering a range of everyday amenities, supermarkets, public library, health centre, schools, inns and Castle Cary some six miles away provides Intercity train service to London/Paddington with Templecombe to the south providing train services to Waterloo. The most attractive Abbey town of Sherborne is only eight miles away, which also has very well known independent schools, Waitrose and and a railway station for Waterloo.
