There is a market every Wednesday and Saturday. Masham has a primary school, secondary schools are located at the neighbouring towns of Bedale and the well regarded Ripon Grammar is 10 miles away. The A1/M1 is just over 7 miles away allowing for access to the wider motorway network. The railway station at Northallerton provides excellent access to the National Rail Network with daily trains to London Kings Cross and Edinburgh.
