A magnificent one bedroom apartment on one of the most desirable streets in Bloomsbury, seconds away from the British Museum. Set in an imposing late Victorian redbrick mansion building, this spacious residence benefits from access to a stunning patio.

The Property
Extending over 780 sf, this charming home features gorgeous parquet flooring, large sash windows which bathe the property in natural light and excellent high ceilings offering exceptional volume rarely found in residential apartments. The property is steeped in history and benefits to this day from an abundance of period features including a fireplace, cornices and bay windows.
The entrance opens up to a spacious hallway, which leads onto a beautifully presented living room, a separate bespoke kitchen with dining area and a well-proportioned bedroom with an abundance of built-in storage. There is also a contemporary bathroom with tub, sink and toilet, a wonderful quiet patio and vault storage.

The lounge can be converted into a second bedroom.

The Location
Russell Chambers lies within the distinctly affluent and historical area of Bloomsbury, moments from the British Museum and all the amenities the West End has to offer. Theatres, the Royal Opera House and the shops and restaurants of Mayfair, Covent Garden, Soho and Fitzrovia all lie within a short walk. The property is very well connected in terms of buses and tubes. The nearest Underground stations are Tottenham Court Road (Crossrail, Central and Northern lines, Crossrail), Holborn (Piccadilly and Central lines), Covent Garden (Piccadilly line) and Goodge Street (Northern line).

The Owner Says
We have felt incredibly lucky to live in such an amazing apartment in the heart of London. It is a fantastic place to be - with the West End on your doorstep, access to shops, museums, restaurants and excellent public transport links - being able to enjoy everything the city has to offer. The moment we walked into the apartment we fell in love. The brilliant lateral layout, the high ceilings, access to a courtyard and the incredible space you get for a Central London flat was perfect for our first home. Over the last few years we have put a lot of heart, soul and flair into the place and have really enjoyed living in the area. We will miss living here - but we hope someone falls in love with this beautiful apartment as much as we did.

Broadband availability and predicted speed: obtained from Ofcom on June 6, 2022

Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:

    Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
    Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
    Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s

The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2

Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on June 6, 2022

Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:

Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services

Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on September 2, 2014 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.

Any supplementary data should not be relied upon as forming part of any property particulars and OnTheMarket cannot be held responsible for any incorrectness in this data. See here for more information.
