The downland village of West Stoke lies some 4 miles to the north west of Chichester. A particularly pretty hamlet, houses are seldom available here and are much sought after, surrounded as it is by some of the best countryside in the county and close to the famous walks through the ancient yew forest of Kingley Vale. From here walkers can reach the crest of the South Downs with panoramic views over the Sussex Weald. The surrounding countryside is home to many pretty villages and country pubs. An ideal place for walks, horse riding and mountain biking. The area is also well placed for access to the waters of Chichester Harbour with Bosham and its famous sailing club being only 4 miles distant. There are further sailing clubs at Itchenor and Chichester Marina, providing access to The Solent and some of the best sailing within convenient travelling distance of London. A few miles to the east lies the Goodwood Estate, already famous for its internationally known racecourse, but also playing host to the Festival of Speed and the Revival at its historic motor circuit which are now prominent events on the social calendar. Goodwood also has a private members club, The Kennels, and a country club providing tennis courts, golf courses, gym and indoor swimming pool. The airfield at Goodwood provides facilities for private aircraft.
The cathedral city of Chichester has a vibrant centre with a wide choice of shopping facilities, bars and restaurants. Pallant House Gallery houses one of the most important art collections in the south of England and Chichester Festival Theatre continues to attract large audiences providing a full and varied program of drama and concerts throughout the year. Mainline stations at both Chichester and Havant provide rail services to both London Victoria and Waterloo respectively.

OnTheMarket may have applied supplementary data to this property listing, including:
Broadband availability and predicted speed: obtained from Ofcom on May 26, 2022
Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on May 26, 2022
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on January 11, 2022 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.
