The house is built of attractive local hamstone with brick details under a mainly slate roof. Under the current and previous ownership, a whole number of improvements and alterations have been carried out. The house offers extensive and versatile accommodation which will suit a whole range of buyers either as a private home, someone working from home or for home and income with excellent potential for bed and breakfast and/or for the creation of a self contained ground floor letting unit or annexe.

The accommodation is well presented and character features typical of its age and type include high ceilings and fireplaces. The excellent amenities include: oil fired central heating, UPVC sealed unit windows, well equipped kitchen with limed oak fronted units plus Rangemaster cooker range, electric oven and integrated dishwasher and a wood burner to the living room.

The accommodation extends to: Ground floor- canopy porch, impressive large reception hall with imposing wide staircase and under stairs cupboard, living room with brick and beamed fireplace, dining/snooker room, kitchen/dining room, utility, inner hall, cloakroom, playroom/reception/home office (with outside door), fourth reception room or bedroom (again, with outside door) and en-suite shower room. Range of outbuildings- substantial workshop/store (former function room with bar), large garage/workshop and hamstone two storey stone stores (hamstone requiring attention).

The outbuildings offer excellent potential for a whole range of uses and possible conversion, subject to planning for additional accommodation/annexe/letting unit etc.

The attractive and secluded gardens enjoy a sunny south facing aspect with a large lawn together with well established borders, raised beds plus greenhouse/potting shed.

Bridport and the Jurassic Coast is a short drive away and the immediate vicinity contains some of the finest countryside available in West Dorset and South Somerset. The shopping centres of Yeovil and Taunton are within easy commuting distance and the A303 is within easy reach.
