Features and description

This house isnt your standard house, and its when you step inside you realise that. It has so much character and warmth and gives you a real homely feeling. We love being here, and having friends and family visit, and they all feel the same as us about the house. The street offers a wonderful community of friendly neighbours who always say hello. Its one of the few Home Zones in Bristol meaning its quiet, free from through road traffic, has community planters and a small and quiet play park a 2 minute walk away.

The garden is an oasis and gets plenty of sun throughout the day, its where we spend a lot of our time. One of the best parts is its location, being right on the edge of the city, we are surrounded by green space, and you can be in the countryside within 5 minutes. Weve spent lockdown making improvements to the house and weve had to think long and hard about whether we want to leave, but unfortunately our work has meant that we need to relocate. We will be incredibly sad to leave, but it will be nice to think we will be passing it on to someone who will enjoy it as much as we have.

Nelson Street is a quiet residential one way road between South Liberty Lane and Trafalgar Terrace which is within easy reach of the increasingly desirable North Street, a well-known and vibrant road running through Southville and Bedminster. This area is popular with a range of residents for its independent shops and amenities and abundance of recognisable culture, typified by annual events such as Upfest and the nearby Harbourside Festival and Bristol International Balloon Fiesta. Much of this areas attraction stems from its proximity to Bristol City Centre. The accessibility of the city centre makes this area in high demand with young professionals, commuters and those who look to enjoy the high-quality shops, bars and restaurants of North Street, Bristol City Centre and Harbourside, including the newly developed Wapping Wharf. For those who require frequent access out of the city, the property is also close to both Bedminster and Parsons Street station, a short walk to the Bristol Airport bus stop, as well as offering several routes by road to outstanding countryside and more rural attractions nearby. There is a new bakery which has just opened up nearby called the Batches Bread Project, as well as the ever popular 'Estate of the Arts' which hosts regular open studios, workshops, makers markets, and film nights.

Situated on one of the most attractive streets in the area, the ground floor of this end of terrace Victorian property is comprised of a large front reception room with characteristically high ceilings and a working gas fireplace. The dining room features lovely exposed floorboards, plenty of storage, a separate recently refurbished integrated kitchen, and access out onto the private rear garden which is perfect for those upcoming summer barbecues or growing some veg. The garden also has its own rear access via a private lane at the back.

The first floor houses the three piece family bathroom with heated towel rail, and two large double bedrooms. The loft has been converted into a large versatile loft room and has breath-taking views towards the green spaces of Ashton Court, Clifton suspension bridge, and the colourful houses of Hotwells and Clifton
