Stirling University and Stirling Golf Course are also easily accessible. Gleneagles Hotel, with its restaurants, luxury spa and three world renowned golf courses are just 12 miles away.

The Mansion House is well situated for easy travel links to Scotland's main cities of Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth with trains running from Stirling, and the A91 road located just north at Dollar, connects on to the M90.

Description

The Mansion House has been known by a few names in its long history, starting out as Dollarbeg Castle when originally built in the 1890s. The magnificent Scots Baronial house was designed by Stirling based architect Ebenezer Simpson, as the the main home for Victorian railway tycoon Henry Dobbie, described in the history books as a 'gentleman farmer'. The impressive house served as a place to entertain a wealth of visitors and guests up until the 1930s when ownership was transferred to a hotel group, and the property converted into a hotel. In 2007 it was converted once more into ten luxury apartments with stunning shared gardens and grounds extending to about 5 acres.

The Tower (7) is an outstanding duplex apartment situated principally on the second floor of the property, but with turret rooms on higher levels, and a spiral stone staircase leading up to the tower roof terrace. Despite being presented to an extremely high standard, the accommodation retains great character throughout, with turreted corners in several of the rooms, and outstanding views from all aspects.

The communal entrance with its beautiful mosaic floor tiling leads to a black marble staircase which rises to the first floor. The private entrance to The Tower is here, with a large store cupboard and a carpeted wooden staircase leading up to the second floor. The sitting room has stunning views to the north across Dollar, Castle Campbell and the Ochil Hills behind, as well as views to the west. There are two turreted corners and the boiler cupboard. The sitting room is open plan with the kitchen / dining room. There are fitted units with granite surfaces and Siemens appliances including oven and hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine / dryer, and microwave. The principal bedroom suite has an en suite shower room, turreted corner, fitted wardrobe and south facing views. There is a further bedroom with large bay window and bathroom on this level.

A spiral staircase leads up to the cinema room, and a stunning tower bedroom above. This magnificent room has windows on three sides offering outstanding elevated views over Dollar and the surrounding countryside. At the top of the tower staircase is the tower top roof terrace. This is a very special area for the entertaining of guests, to make the most of the breathtaking panoramic views. The property also has an attic.

The communal gardens and grounds at The Mansion House extend to about 5 acres. These stunning mature grounds are scattered with a variety of mature broadleaf and evergreen trees, shrubs and plants. The drive sweeps through the gardens to the front of the property where there is residents' parking.
