The property is a 300 yard level walk from the centre of town and Wilton market place, which holds weekly markets of local produce every Thursday. There is a thriving community centre, which also holds a country market every Friday. Amenities include, co-op and one-stop grocery stores, doctors surgery & dentist, a choice of pubs, cafes and takeaways, a bakery, hardware store, pet shop, clothing, interiors and gift shops, hairdressers, beauty salons, garden centre, library and schools. Nearby Wilton House was a filming location for the recent TV drama The Crown and also offers an adventure playground for children. The Parish Church of St Mary and St Nicholas holds regular services and welcomes new residents and visitors into their impressive Italianate church building. In Wilton's Castle Meadow there is a newly set up 'men's shed', a pavilion which also hosts art classes, and a sports field with gym equipment and provisions for football, cricket and basketball. Many countryside walks, cycling routes and bridleways are easily accessible, including Grovely Woods. Nearby popular sight-seeing destinations include Stonehenge and Salisbury Cathedral.
