Description
Plas Isaf is an elegant Grade II Listed country house set within approximately 7 acres of gardens grounds and land in an elevated position with far reaching views.
The house has clearly evolved over time, however the listing describes the house as dating from the late 18th Century. The property has been beautifully restored during the current owner’s tenure and it is superbly appointed, effortlessly mixing stylish contemporary fittings with period character.
The front door opens into a large reception hall flanked by impressive reception rooms in the form of a dining room and drawing room. These are beautifully proportioned rooms with high ceilings, cornicing and many other wonderful period details. They enjoy attractive views over the grounds and are ideal for entertaining. There is a beautifully created semi-circular wall which separates these rooms from the rest of the downstairs accommodation which consists of a well-appointed kitchen with access off it to the pantry, utility and a fridge room. There are also two studies which could be adapted for different uses and a cellar.
On the first floor is a beautiful light filled principal bedroom suite with a dressing room and an en suite bathroom, the second bedroom shares a bathroom with the principal bedroom in a Jack and Jill style whilst there are also two further bathrooms, a WC and three further bedrooms.
Additionally within the West Wing side of the house there are three bedrooms and a bathroom. The West Wing could provide independent accommodation within the body of the main house.
The second floor of the main house has two additional rooms (currently used as a yoga room and a gym) which could also be used for other purposes if required. In all the main house offers almost 8,000 sq ft of accommodation.
Outside
Linked to the house via a drift way is a lovely range of traditional outbuildings incorporating garaging, stabling and storage and which could be adapted to a variety of uses ancillary to that of the main house, subject to the gaining of the necessary consents.
The property is served by a traditional in and out drive running beneath the drift way and also accessing the land. The house is set in superb, well-maintained gardens and grounds, and include a delightful walled garden. The gardens offer a wonderful mix of plants, from various shrubs to lovely mature trees. The walled garden contains a fabulous al fresco dining area.
The property extends to about 7 acres.
Location
Plas Isaf is around 2 miles from the centre of Mold which is a thriving traditional market town with an excellent range of retail, educational and commercial services as well as the renowned Theatre Clwyd.

Padeswood Golf Club is approximately 1 mile away and there are further golf courses a little further afield.
Despite its semi-rural location, Plas Isaf is only approximately 3.5 miles from the A55 Expressway with its transport links to the North Wales Coast, Chester, Liverpool and Manchester.
The commercial centre of Chester is approximately 11 miles away, which provides a superb range of shopping and leisure facilities and some excellent schools including Kings and Queens.
