A pretty three bedroom detached Victorian house on the edge of the village of Smarden.

Description

The Manse is a pretty detached, mainly Victorian house which dates originally from 1868 and was built by Robert Bridge for the trustees of the Zion Church in Smarden, the word 'manse' meaning a clergy house.

The current owners who have lived here for over 15 years have completely refurbished the property, with engineered oak flooring to the reception rooms, under floor heating to the dining room, kitchen and bathroom. Bespoke timber double glazed windows to complement restored sash windows.

The ground floor accommodation comprises: an entrance hall with wide staircase to the first floor, a double sitting room, an adjoining study, both rooms enjoying direct access to the garden, a dining room with open fireplace, an attractive well fitted kitchen/breakfast room with space for various appliances and a utility/cloakroom.

On the first floor there are three bedrooms and a modern family bathroom equipped with white sanitary ware. There is a central landing with access to fully boarded roof space via a retractable ladder.

The attractive front garden has a central pedestrian pathway flanked by lawn with shrub borders.
Vehicular access is over a graveled driveway to one side of the house, leading to a rear garden and detached double garage with power and light connected and a wooden staircase leading up to a room above.
