Designed and built between 1922-1923, the house and gardens are typical of layouts by the architect Harry Inigo Triggs (1876-1923) in partnership with firstly, William Frederick Unsworth and then his son Gerald. Unsworth and Triggs designed a prodigious number of houses in Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire, mostly vernacular in style and often reminiscent of Lutyens. Triggs was a formalist and took on
the task of designing the gardens as he believed this was the architect's responsibility. He was primarily interested in the garden as architecture, in which craftsmanship and local materials combined to create a garden of structure.
The formal treatment of his gardens was softened and complemented by cottage garden informality with herbaceous plantings in the style of Gertrude Jekyll. In keeping with many other houses that Unsworth and Triggs designed, Sparsholt Manor occupies an elevated position commanding beautiful far reaching southerly views. More than any other architect of the period, Triggs was fascinated by the use of water. The sunken garden was a typical feature, often with a lily pool in the centre, and his interpretation of Italian Renaissance and Moorish Spanish villa gardens.
The Manor house, with a pair of matching garden loggias supported by barley-twist columns, faces south onto the main terrace of York stone flag paving and herbaceous borders. Two flights of stone steps lead down to the main lawn where a rill is fed from a masque fountain into a semicircular pool, marking the central axis of the E-shaped house. The rill flows through a pair of dipping pools and finally culminates in a circular pool. A ha-ha and hedge separates the main garden from a meadow beyond.
Within the garden and grounds are several specimen trees whilst to the West of the house is a wisteria clad pergola leading to the ogee roofed summerhouse, a copy of the one in Triggs' garden at Little Boarhunt near Liphook. Beyond the pergola lies a walled kitchen garden beyond which is the office, one bedroom cottage and various outbuildings. (The current office could easily be used as a further one bedroom cottage, if required.) Within the garden and grounds is an Astro tennis court and a lined swimming pool which is heated by an Air Source Heat Pump.
Internally the house offers many original features and characteristics of the Arts and Crafts era including polished oak floorboards, impressive fireplaces with stone surrounds and some panelled reception rooms. The current owners have created a wonderful family kitchen/ breakfast room with doors opening onto a terrace which in turn overlooks the garden and grounds with far-reaching southerly views.

Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
