About Barra/Ilhavo:

Barra beach is located on the west coast of Portugal, in the Aveiro district, and where the Aveiro estuary connects to the sea. Administratively it is in the municipality of Ílhavo, in the parish of Gafanha da Nazaré. To the south it faces the beach of Costa Nova do Prado. To the north is São Jacinto beach.

Of the existing built heritage, there is the Farol da Barra, Ponte da Barra, and the high wall. This high wall borders the entrance of the Aveiro Port bar to the south, and is about 500 m long, entering by sea.
