" I have been living in the property for over 12 years, after originally planning to stay a couple of years, but loved the property and location so have stayed put until now. Before living here I would drive along the road and often commented on the trees lining the street that make the road feel very green and rural. However with the proximity to mainline train station, the great high street and a vast array of shops, means you are far from isolated. On entering the property the high ceilings, with loads of natural light mean that on even the greyish of days, the property feels light, airy and spacious. Standing at over 6ft that does not happen in many properties! It is a quiet place and often the only thing to be heard is the bird tweeting outside and the rustling of the trees, adding to the rural feel of the property.

The garden I shall miss, with the huge decking area, the setting of numerous barbeques and social gatherings with neighbours, friends and family. Followed by the lawn , the scene of many summers days lazing/sun bathing or lying in the hammock on the paved area. The final section of the garden has a green house, ideal for green fingers and even my novice fingers have managed to produce numerous vegetables. The plum tree produces delicious fruit year after year, and I am often inundated with lovely fresh, home grown plums. This is in addition to the cherry tree located on the main lawn that produces fruit every year, you just need to get in there before the birds.

Working in Central London, commutability is important, and with a 7 minute walk to Thornton Heath Train station, connecting me with central London in 20 minutes or door to door to Gatwick in just over 30 minutes, this has been ideal. Thornton Heath is served via numerous buses that can take you into central London or out to Croydon and further afield. On the odd occasions that the infamous Southern Rail is out of action, Norwood Junction is 20-25 minute walk and is served via The Overground and Thameslink services so is great alternative, especially if you need to commute to The City.

Being a car owner, parking is important and the fact that I can easily fit 2 vehicles easily on the driveway has been a great bonus. Also the property has great storage in the form of cellar that is ideal for storing items out of view and my stash of home-brew beer.

I shall be sad leave, but am moving to a bigger property, not too far away".
