North West dominates UK coastal locations offering best value for money

Our latest research shows the locations that offer the best value for money for movers searching for a home with a sea view in the UK.
We examined property prices within 100m of the sea to map out the average prices of the top ten cheapest and top ten most expensive locations. The properties featured are a mix of bungalows, apartments, houses and mobile park homes. The areas with the most expensive sea views in the country are well documented, but the locations that offer the best value for money are far less well known.
The North West features most prominently on the best value for money list, with four locations in the region making the top ten. Cumbria was the most represented county, with Silloth, Barrow-in-Furness and North Walney all appearing in the top ten cheapest places to purchase a property with a sea view.

Unsurprisingly, the South West of the UK features most prominently on the list of most expensive sea views, with nine locations in the region making the top ten. Only Trearddur in Wales featured from outside the region, with locations in Cornwall and Devon dominating the standings. Four of the top five areas for property with the most expensive sea views were in Cornwall.
Our Chief Executive Officer, Jason Tebb, comments on these findings:
“The top 10 locations are all as you’d expect, places like St Ives and Saunton are well known for their natural beauty, which will always be highly desirable to potential home owners. But this list shows that there are opportunities to own a property with a sea view in less conventional locations that offer a similar quality of life away from the usual hotspots.”
